Exclamation Iraq Casualties - At Least One Cause!

As it was in Vietnam, stateside public displays, and political indecision, are adding testicles to many in the Middle East who, before that time, lacked the will or the ability to fight, or engage in terrorism! (opinion)

In 1991, the Iraqis were kicked out of Kuwait in rapid order, and in 2003, the sprint across Iraq by Coalition forces (most of them American) was a wonder to behold! Getting from Point A to Point B, or landing upon the deck of an American warship however, does not a (total) victory make, as we are now finding out!

So who is at fault for this ?War Unfinished (TWICE)?? Certainly not the troopers in theater (they are the best of the best), nor the equipment at hand (it is state of the art), nor can our "UNIFORMED" leaders be singled out, as they do (just) what they too are ordered to do, the best way that they can!!

In my opinion, it is the political atmosphere (or is that circus), coupled with the usual street tripe being shoveled by many who fail to realize that their Constitutionally Guaranteed right to protest, just as they did in Nam, is causing American casualties and deaths in the Middle East!

Giving aid and solace to an enemy comes in many forms and shapes. Be it throwing bodies into a meat-grinder for political or financial gain, or showing an enemy (and much of the Middle East is just that - opinion) that the people of our great nation are not solidly behind their government! ?This is indeed a sad quandary!?

Were we correct in bloodying Iraq?s nose and removing "Hussein and his Flying Circus" from tyranical power - ?Your damned straight we were!!? These deranged and dangerous clowns had to go, a job that should have been culminated over a decade earlier! ?But then, that was then, and this is now!!?

We have but two ?REAL? choices in Iraq-Nam, as I see it? Either get the Hell out, or obliterate the place from the air, and let the Devil alone re-build it! "How after all, can you rebuild what is being re-destroyed on a daily basis?" And for the record, I doubt that it will improve much after we vacate this Hell-Hole!!

An elongated occupation and the United Nations are not an answer either! Occupation may get you eternal casualties, and the UN will merely usher back an era of the same old corruption, be it under another regime, that was there to begin with (another opinion)?

In Korea, Somalia and now within the Middle East, we have learned that you can not democratize Satan (the old silk purse out of a sow?s ear scenario)!! Either let them be to destroy themselves, and maybe others, as they gain in self-confidence, or blow them (literally) off of the face of the map from the air! ?They will do it to us, if they get the chance!?

What after all, is the good of technology, if one is not willing to use it to save the lives of Americans and friendlies - if indeed, there are many friendlies left out there that is?!

Either total war (W.T. Sherman), or no war at all! Fight to win , or don?t fight at all , as (so-called) containment only guarantees future engagement! Alas, it is sad but true - ?The only good damned enemy is a dead damned enemy! (No Book Reports Here, unfortunately!?)
