Recruiting Marine Raiders!!

I am recruiting active, retired, reserve, and inactive Marines to fill out the ranks of the 2nd Marine Raider Battalion. The 2nd Raiders will deploy for battle against Axis forces in western Europe in support of the British Expeditionary Forces.

Now you're probably saying, "Whats with this guy?" So let me explain and you'll see I'm not as crazy as you may've thought.

I am a member of the 1st Marine Rifles Brigade of the 1st Royal Marine Divison, I Corps, British Expeditionary Forces, Allies, in the virtual online battlefield, WWII Online. This war simulation program begins each campaign in May 1940, with the historically accurate positions of forces at that time. The British and French were frantically trying to stop the rampaging German assault. In real life, the Germans overran France in 6 weeks and the British pulled back across the channel, beginning the "Battle of Britain."

In WWII Online, we have a chance to change history, and sometimes we do. Everyone starts with the same weapons and equipment available at that time. This simulation continues for 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week until one side or the other achieves the criteria necessary to be declared the winner.

These "wars"/campaigns last many weeks, and often months. This game isn't for the light hearted. It is the most realistic battlefield simulation and the largest map in the world. It is literally one third scale of the real area covered, Holland, Belgium, western Germany, northern France and eastern England. It is huge!!! Imagine flying a Hurricane against waves of 109's and Stutka's. Drive one of the tanks available, or operate an anti-tank gun. Crew on a Royal Navy Destroyer or be an infantryman carrying a variety of different equipment. Or help with our strategic bombing campaign as we bomb the German factories in an effort to slow down or stop their abilities to resupply or produce new equipment. Help in one of the bitter battles defending a town against large columns of German Panzer tanks. These battles sometimes last for hours or days.

Play as British, French or German. Play alone or join an organized unit. The Royal Marines is the best unit in the game. We give the Axis fits but our battles are incredible battles of will and leadership. Use real life tactics and strategies. Imagine combine arms operations, with recon, armor ambushes, close air support and multiple units and divisions working together to liberate captured towns.

This game is not a kids, shootem up type game! It is full of action and lots of fun, but requires a more mature response to be effective. For some reason, more people play German. I don't understand why people want to be the bad guys, but they are. We do everything we can do to stop them or push them back. Problem is we are outnumbered.

WE NEED HELP. We need more allies to liberate western Europe. Although you could get in the game and remain unassociated, the major operations are always conducted by the organized units in the game. There are many active and former military personnel playing this simulation. I am specifically recruiting real life Marines to play with the Royal Marines and ultimately with the 2nd Raider Battalion. I want to create a force that will strike terror in the hearts of all the Axis players. A feared force of real Marines.
