![]() We Are Gone
Grief in a heart will never go away, But the pain of seperation can go one day, Unto that place where all meet in the land of death, The good, the bad, the worst, the best. For to touch the wall with humbleness, In our hearts set free its best, To feel those souls of our kin and friends, If only for a fleeting moment with our hands. For in life we each did fare so well, Until in death we fell, So now we know not nor understand, That hardness in the hearts of the leaders of our land. That take our young men, So many away, To that dark land of death, Where they play . . . . . . . . . Neath the care of God. By Willie LeRoy Cook Copyright March 2003 I found this poem and thought I would share it with you. RaggedyAnn |
