Just got the word my company isn't going to renew my contract as of August 1. Seems the Canadian company is pulling back and putting my job back in Canada. I'm not alone about five others have already rec'd their notices.

Well I will be 60 this year and my wife is now handicapper and this will put a real strain on me. I'm busy looking and have some options. I can't take any overseas work because the wife needs my assistance so I will take a real hit there.

Relocation at this time is not a good deal neither since I'd have to sell and buy another home. Plus the wife would not like to be too far from the grandkids.

Life does deal some strange things. Just when you think you are getting so close to retirement that now its seems as though its miles away. Have to be careful or I will loose all my life savings in a very short period of time.

Health insurance is the biggest issue since Kath needs medical attention on a pretty regular basis. I can go to the VA for my meds but she's not covered since I didn't retire out of the service.

Not exactly sure which direct to go but I have some time. It goes to say that nothing is ever etched in stone even when you think you have pulled all the right strings. Life moves on. But after Aug 1 I will be off the air for awhile until I get re-organized.
