NEW JERSEY
by N.R. Filidei (9/2/06 - commentary)

You-just-gotsta love and appreciate the overall great gall or chutzpah of New Jersey's longtime Democrat Political Machine, and how meekly most Jerseyans accept their quite lordly political bull,...and for about a-half-century to boot. Such like some longtime and perverted fairytale, from: "The Dark Side".

Still, and in fairness, other states of The Northeast like New York and Massachusetts act just as cavalierly lordly and dictatorial toward their Subjects. Plus, New Jersey not all that very citizen-friendly either.

In fact, today some more typically people-deceiving and/or politically excusing bull was reported about Jersey's self-anointed, all-knowing or Big Brother Clique types. Such referred to the: "Property-tax fix" (Yeah, Sure?) of state's longtime and Absurdly High Property Taxes (Highest in entire USA).

Apparently being quite sarcastic about such with rightful cause, since historically New Jersey Property Taxes are and have been one of the largest: "Golden Gooses" ever available for lordly American Politicians,...and for quite some time. Jersey's politicos easily giving such up is about as likely as Jane Fonda being voted in as Commander-In-Chief, and especially by America's Veterans adoring her.

Damn,...even today's (September 2, 2006) two line headline in Home News Tribune:

"Lawmakers doubtful on property-tax fix
Corzine confident progress will be made"

...obviously and typically coming out of BOTH SIDES OF MOUTH.
Well, for normal and/or NOT: "Connected" & NOT beholding people, anyway.

Also, Truly Liked (just joking) reading: "They have been told (BY WHOM?) they cannot cut pension benefits for most public government workers (greatest known mankind) and consolidating local governments would not save much money". Senator Ronald Rice (D-Essex) pontificating: "I haven't seen one way or one recommendation to save money",...was truly another beauty.

Hey Ron Baby,...maybe you and all other lordly and self/clique-greedy types should have paid a little attention to New Jersey's Supreme Court Directive of around and about 1978 or so, INSTEAD? If so and w-a-a-a-y back when, you all could have easily pulled-off the: "Property-tax fix",...
INSTEAD of just governing illegally for so many years.

Wish that: "We The (Schnooks)", State's Sole Piggy-bank and/or The Victimized of New Jersey could legislate or twist laws similarly to suit ourselves, families and friends,...JUST AS WELL.

The Highest Court of New Jersey LONG AGO declared that paying for all Public Schooling in The State of New Jersey (MAIN REASON WHY PROPERTY TAXES HERE SO HIGH & NATIONALLY RIDICULED) were: "UN-CONSTITUTIONAL" and should be rectified.

So then, and even though apparently considering yourselves more knowledgeable and superior to New Jersey's Supreme Court, wouldn't it still be wise to finally going along with YOUR Court's long ago decree, decision or directive? BOTH New Jersey's Homeowners & Renters would be eternally grateful...for lowering BOTH THEIR RENTS quite substantially. Maybe even vote you all in for life for such overall and large rent reductions?

Besides, there are so many other ways of perpetually gleaning monies from The Citizens of New Jersey, anyway? Haven't You People ALREADY proved such over and over and over again,...enough times?

The End
