![]() If there is to be a ?New World Order?, unlike the one envisioned by George Orwell or George Herbert Walker Bush, let us (USA) be the vanguard! And although oxymoronic in tone, ?Aggressive Isolationism? may just be the crux of the ongoing salvation and continuing survival of our great experiment in democracy!?
How can one be aggressive and semi- isolationist, both at the same time you ask? It?s easy when you create the mold! A semi-isolationist nation is not necessarily an entity that seeks to remove itself totally from world affairs! It is rather a creation that relies primarily upon itself to enhance its greatness and fulfill its destiny, just as we did in the beginning! When one, however, becomes just a cog in a massive wheel, he de-evolves into but a segment of that wheel. And that wheel turns, not always upon it?s own momentum alone, but rather within the matrix of someone else?s invention or control! As a nation, we became great through invention and manufacturing. These two elements, coupled with the indomitable spirit of the new (the people themselves), quickly became a world force to be reckoned with! And although we borrowed innovation (on occasions) from others, and then vastly improved upon the technology and know-how, we refused to stagnate or become complacent! ?He who stands still, moves backwards!? And when one seeks to become but a part of a single, internationalist unity, he also becomes susceptible to the weaknesses of that entity, the United Nations, NATO, and League of Nations being splendid examples! For unless one is willing to take a peaceful (when applicable) lead, and to do this by example, while letting others attempt to follow, he may quickly become complacent and totally reliant upon others! Of course, this is not to say that we need to become an economic or moral imperialist, or even a self-decreed human leper, but rather that: ?As we began our trek upon the road of self-reliance first, and this has served us well indeed, maybe this ideology (self-reliance), was not all that bad a thing on the face of it! Hell, and in reality, the whole world has, in one way or another, attempted to emulate what made us great in the first place! Unfortunately, however, some foreign entities then attempted to alter our creation (and us too in the process), and then to turn their handy work back against it?s author, the good old U. S. of A! ?Maybe it is from nations like these, that we need to be semi-isolated and aggressive, both at the same time?? (opinion) ?What do you think?? VERITAS :cd:
