Question Question

Tell Me something please. In Your City or State, is there a lot of closing in honor of Veterans Day? I speak mostly about the Schools. I know in My City (which it is pitiful!!!) City, and independent private schools is not closed on Nov 11th, Veterans day everywhere. I ask this question because I met this Kid (Student) Said: I wish I could come to the parade but at
11:00 I'm in class, and I said thanks for wanting to attend. I just think it is a "slap in the face" not to take this day to honor the Veterans. As I look at some of the school calendars
I notice Student holidays for Teacher in-service, Wednesday, and Friday as Thanksgiving break, 3 or 4 days out of School for fall break. I know I live in a big City (Memphis) and We don't get a lot of recognition. Wish I was in a small town like Danny where the Citizens look forward to a Veterans parade, and probably the same in other Cities.
When I get to be Mayor, I'm making Veterans Day parade mandatory for all Citizens!!! LOL
