![]() This poem was written and e-mailed to me from Shorty Estabrook - EX-POW from North Korea Tiger Camp
____________________________ My poem - now I am crying I have not forgetten you old pal and each day I see you standing there saying goodby and wishing me well even though that day was your last. What would life have offered you? We shall never know and soon we too will be saying good by It seems like yesterday. THE MARCH Worn, cold and haggared hungry to the bone a ghostly group staggers through the valley not seeing not hearing not feeling. Bones hold them erect and skin stretchs tight in pale contrast to what once was. It was the most terrible of times when death was sudden and swift no more pain with instant silence on a bed of snow.
