Default A New Twist To The Tax Rebate

I'm sure this will end up in the Political Debate category. And it should, as it is all "Political".

How many of you last year received a "George W. Bush" tax rebate check? You may if you had some young children.

My son has two children, one 12 yrs. and 7 yrs. old. I think he told me he got $800.00 on the tax rebate program.
My son is the Major stationed at Fort McCoy, Wi. He gets a lot of time off, and drive home to Kansas City two week ends of a month. He uses his own car to drive to and from For McCoy, and the US Army pays him for the use of the vehicle.. gas, oild, etc.
In the 14 months he has been at McCoy, he had about $2,200.00 in expenses for 2003.

Now here is the snake bite..

When he filed his family 2003 tax returns, knowing he would get back the $2,200.00 for the expenses, plus any other amount he had coming. When they received the Income Tax check, the government deducted the $800.00 tax rebate they had received.

Wow! Such a great tax relief program the President put forth for for the people.
