Default Why is Easter not a federal holiday

I can't understand why Easter is not a federal holiday. Yea I have been told Church and State bull. I don't by that, because if that was the case why is Christmas a federal holiday, both are about Jesus so the Church and State bull just got thrown out the window the way I see it. I have also heard because it is on Sunday, Well Christmas, 4th July, New Years Day have all fallen on a Sunday at one time or another. Also for those who might think this Good Friday is not a federal holiday either.

To me this is not right, Easter need to be made a federal holiday.

What is truly amazing is is that Easter is THE pivotal event for all of Christendom, for without the Resurrection, Christmas becomes just another shopping season. It is the Resurrection that separates Christians from other religions. And may the blesings of this Holy Day be yours!

Thanks to all that replied. I still think Easter should be a federal holiday.

Scout you have made a real good point, one that can really be taken to heart.

To all have a Bless and safe Easter. I guess this will have to be a holiday without the federal govenment. It is a holiday for me in my heart.
