FORT BRAGG, N.C. -- The Military Police leadership of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division hosted pepper spray training for MPs across the division who required the certification May 15, 2013. The training, which is mandatory for all military law enforcement before they may carry the painful and often demobilizing chemical, serves the dual purpose of allowing Soldiers to understand and feel the effects, and be able to perform their law enforcement functions in the event of a cross-contamination, said Sgt. 1st Class John Murphy, the 2nd BCT Provost Marshal's Office noncommissioned officer in charge.
