It also seems to me that not one ‘damned’ thing has ever really changed over the last two-hundred and forty-six years, and counting? And yet - “We Earthlings” have rarely found even some partial panacea to war, or even to disease, or even to the carnage of today’s world politics? But alas, we still hum along on only half of our available cylinders, while praying to the heavens, that our next misstep will not be our last as a species (And So It Still Is)!

“Ah what fools we mortals continue to be!!”

The biggest problem of all, however, and I have said this many times before in the past, is that there is just too much trying, and not nearly enough doing, to be had? And when we do reach our final expenditure in life –“What Then?!” Or are you still one of those “Ever-Lasting Optimists” who genuinely believe that we (as a race of beings) are without any mortal peers, and even devoid of any actual expiration date? (But Who Can Really Say For Sure?)

“So Dream On - Oh Ye Race Of Eternally Foolish Schemers!” For maybe (also, in the end, and akin to the now-extinct dodo bird and long-dead prairie-chicken), we as a race of beings, may also discover that we too have a pre-set expiration date? ‘AND SO’ - ONCE AGAIN I ASK YOU “ MR. EDGAR A. POE (1809-1849)” : “Where are you today” - Now that we once again need to be re-invigorated by your stirring words of foreboding, warnings, and even of stark terror?”
