Post LINCOLN & JEFFERSON - 21st CENTURY WAR CRIMINALS?

Two of the greatest Americans ever to grace ?Freedom?s Sod?, Jefferson and Lincoln, might have been detained and maybe even hung by those who now advocate a ?New World Order! As a matter of fact, Thomas Jefferson nearly fell prey (politically speaking) to ?The Alien and Sedition Acts (1798)!? And both Abraham Lincoln (16th. President), and Thomas Jefferson (3rd. President), gave speeches that hung upon the very cusp of sedition!

?So what is sedition, and what defines the line between it and patriotism?!?

SEDITION IS DEFINED AS: ?Language or conduct directed against public order and the tranquility of the state!? I guess that all of those DC Whores and Taverns could not keep our politicos tranquil, even back then!?

But have you ever read some of the poignant words of Jefferson and Lincoln, and not just the language that the politically correct want you to know about! Hell, in my opinion, both of these truly esteemed gents were revolutionaries. ?As such, it kind of makes one wonder why the Civil War was even fought!"

Of course, Jefferson believed in a strong central government, even if his words (quoted below) leave a parcel of room for questioning!

And Lincoln, the man who kept the Union together, also makes one scratch their brow and wonder a bit! (Also printed below)

Of course no man can dispute the patriotism of these two American Giants, but I guess even they (at times) got a bit pissed-off at the status quo!?

----------------------------------------------------

THOMAS JEFFERSON, IN 1787 SAID:
?I hold it, that a little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical!?

JEFFERSON ALSO WROTE THAT: (in 1787)
?The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it?s natural manure!?

TOM JEFFERSON ALSO WROTE:
?Whenever a man has cast a longing eye on them (public offices), rottenness begins in his conduct!? (1799)

----------------------------------------------------

ABRAHAM LINCOLN WROTE (1861 I think?):
?This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it!?
-----------------------------------------------------

?These were the words, not of some questionable zealot mind you, but rather those of two of our most revered patriots!? Had either of these two great men, however, been born but a couple of centuries later, their names might have been placed upon wanted posters! But then, these gents were born back at a time when controlled speech, politically correctism, a New World Order, a One-World Government, and elections that could be manipulated, were unheard of! ?Gawd, haven?t we come a long way, but in which direction?!?

We have picked up where the French (dirty word) Foreign Legion let off, spit into the face of James Monroe (Monroe Doctrine), and even thrown ?The Almighty? out of our sacred documents!

We have also come to embrace the grotesque, experimented upon our own (and lied about it), and became the policemen to the world (Foreign Legion again)!

In reference to the latter, what was it that George Washington said in his farewell speech?

?It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliance with any portion of the foreign world!?

He also said: ?Europe (and indeed the entire world) has a set of primary interests which to us have none, or very remote, relation! Hence, she (Europe) must be engaged in frequent controversies, the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns.

Washington also said:

?I have always given it as my decided opinion that no nation had a right to intermeddle in the internal concerns of another; that everyone had a right to form and adopt whatever government they liked best to live under themselves!?

George Washington also proclaimed that: ?The basis of our political system is the right of the people to make and to alter their constitutions of government!?

As such, and unfortunately in my opinion, many a politico since that time has liberalized, or is that bastardized Washington?s intent and meaning. And by doing so, have liquidized and diluted many of the Constitution?s basic mandates to fit any given agenda, or political appetite!

Has both God and the original Constitution been bastardized and/or eliminated as the vested need arose? ?What do you think??

VERITAS

Around here Lincoln and Jefferson are held up as icons. G.W. is looked down on - a dumb cowboy with a silver spoon. Prior to, during and yes after the Iraqi War people around here dumped on G.W. for engaging in an undeclared war. It's interesting to note the first undeclared war our nation was involved in was ordered by Jefferson. And the Civil War, yep, it was an undeclared war.
Jefferson feared a large Federal government, there is no doubt he meant what he said, I can understand the quotes.
Lincoln, in that 1861 quote, can't figure that one out. Wounder what kind of point he was making?
When Washington made his farewell speech he knew this country was weak compared to any number of European nations, don't think he wanted to see us eaten up by the bad guys. Again, the context of their words are very important.
As far as Jefferson engaging in words that were or could be seen as "sedition", sure. He was probably one of the big reasons old John Adams got the sedition laws passed.

Stay healthy,
Andy
