Like lambs to the slaughter, we have opened our doors of freedom and enterprise to nearly every fatal disease known to mankind! Greed, avarice, social and economic suicide, moral decay and foreign interference - you name it- and we have left ourselves susceptible to it! If it isn't the gas and oil thieves who are bleeding us dry, it is the nations who now
consider us an open grab bag, one to be raided at their own convenience!

And yet, we still blindly rumble on - without a care in the world and oblivious to the powerful whirlpool that we are engulfed in - amazing!

Recently, I have heard the same indigent rhetoric, flooding forth from all quarters - "There Is Nothing That We Can Do About It, It Is Just Good Business, It Will Iron Itself Out, Things Are Not As Bad As They Seem, and I Am Just Biding My Time", have become the acceptable excuses of the day. And for those who do not embrace these particular lies and self-deceptions - there is always the one about "This Is The Job Of Government, and Not Mine?" Nero may indeed be fiddling, but it is us who are humming the tune!

Have we lost the power of the vote, the right to impeach, and the responsibility to protest and question? "And just what else have we surrendered recently?"

"Vote wisely come next election - your very futures may depend upon it!!"

You are in the military, and you are"BITCHING"!!!

Get the hell out!! You people sickin me!! I lost three people on 9-11 and I servrd 14 yrs in the Military. You guy's are here just for school I guess!!

First off, my military service was many, many years ago as a non-illustrious ground-pounder - and nothing more....

One of the things that we all served in the military to protect, however, was the "Constitution", the "First Amendment" of which is the "Freedom of Speech!!" And that is one of the ideas that these sites stand for - getting it off your chest. Not just chatting about "Old Sally Rotten Crotch" that we met at the local USO or elsewhere!

I currently have one adopted kid serving (11 years) in the Navy, and a bunch of other young (great) friends, most of whom graduated (ROTC) from the same university as my youngest son. These young patriots are now serving out in Iraq and Afghanistan, and elsewhere. "Just a few of the thousands of our kids, currently serving bravely and gallantly out in harm's way!" "I LOVE THEM ALL!!"

Bitching, as you put it Fly-Guy, is not only a tradition, but also a right of passage, in my opinion! And being an American yourself - get ye use to it, unless of course, you have grandiose political ambitions - do you?

My family, like many other great American families, has served in nearly every war that this magnificent nation of ours has been involved in, and that gives me, and all who served honorably, the right to bitch - AMEN! I would have no use at all for someone who took everything upon the chin without a word of anger or protest, as only Beetle Bailey and Sad Sack never bitched about what they felt was wrong - which are you?

And for the record, and for what it is worth, my wife's uncle (a 20 year old corporal, 24th Infantry Division) was beaten and starved to death by the North Koreans in December 1950, while a prisoner of war - does he too sicken you?

If still alive, he and another uncle who floated around amidst the bodies of his comrades for many days, after his ship (Merchant Marine) was torpedoed out from under him, would also have earned the right to bitch! Along with my old man who had 3 beach-heads and 6 battle stars, my step dad who served aboard a heavy cruiser in the Pacific during that war, and my
wife's dad who was on destroyer escort in the North Atlantic during WWII, all now deceased! "Do they all sicken you as well Fly Guy?"

"But again, they were but a scant few of the millions of true patriots, past, present and future too, who let it all hang out for God and Country!" Do they as well sicken you????

The first one that I mentioned here, that 20 year old dead corporal (MY WIFE'S UNCLE), was with the "First To Fight Division (24th)" in Korea (His remains were never recovered and what is left of him, still remains on hostile shores).

And as a matter of fact, he was the impetus for us, along with 36 caring Veterans Organizations (about 8 Million Strong) who took on the fight initially, to attain Posthumous Purple Heart Medals for the 17,000 to 21,000 (according to the Service Casualties Office) who perished in these stinking Enemy POW Camps, from 7 December 1941 to the present!

So again, my dear old "Fly Boy" - my right, your right and all our rights to bitch was paid for in the blood, sweat and tears of millions of heroes who did not live to sound off on websites!

If one perceives something to be wrong, the first step in correcting it is to bitch about it, and bitch on I will! For those who perished in the past, are dying at this very moment, and the gallant Americans who will die in wars to come, have lost the ability to speak for
themselves! "And He Who Bitches Not - Feels Not, and in my opinion - Breathes Not!"

P.S. Should anyone wish to view the New Posthumous Purple Heart Regs (DoD Directive 1348.33-M) contained within the Military Decorations and Awards Manual, it should be up by July (we hope).... http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/pub1.html

I respect your view, be it crass and misplaced, in my opinion? You are (apparently) brave, honorable, and American to the core! And if this is true, then you are what this Nation is all about!!
