Isn't USA just as SOVEREIGN?

When some OPEC Nation Saudi Sheiks were recently asked why charging their people only 47 cents a gallon for gasoline while other nations were being mercilously subjected to price-gouging for same,...their answer seemed quite admirably sensible to me. Would that America's political rulers were as admirable?

Words to the effect of: "As a sovereign nation they chose doing what best for both their people & economy from THEIR vast natural resource" displays that Saudis are about as wise about People's Natural Resources,...as any national rulers could possibly be. Would that OUR RULERS were near as wise about Americans' natural resources?

Regardless, no one should doubt for even: "A New York Minute" that all other OPEC Nations don't think similarly and/or doing what best for "Their" People & "Their" Economies, from "Their' very own National Resources. Unfortunately, most other nations on earth (USA inclusive) DO NOT!

Whether gasoline priced at only 12 cents a gallon for Venezualans or about 90 some cents a gallon for less affluent of The Oil Producing & Exporting Nations,...such all rightfully believe themselves Sovereign Nations which must protect & preserve "Their" People's Wants, Needs & Economies,...ABOVE ALL OTHERS. WOW!!!,...what a wonderfully new SOVEREIGN concept.

So then, and since America obviously one of world's Largest Oil PRODUCERS & Oil EXPORTERS with VAST Oil & Fuel RESERVES (some knowledgeable info escaping that 3X that of Saudi Arabia), how come The American People are daily held hostage to the insatiably greedy whims of BIG OIL FAT CATS and their quite helpful for wealth increasing Oil Speculators, Manipulators, Price-riggers & Price-gougers? Do Oil Lobbyists pay-off better than: "We The (Schnooks)"? Such apparently do.

Besides, and about 30 years of perpetually never resolving anything about so called: "Oil Crisis"(?) by suspect of true allegiance, intent & credibility politicos aside,..."Isn't USA just as SOVEREIGN" a nation, as any OPEC Nations? I once believed so. Just what-the-hell happened here?
