![]() For those who pay attention to such things, I'd like to apologize to the Army and the Air Force.
I was told by my mother that my father served in the Navy & Army. She even had an old Army jacket that she said was his. ![]() My sister sent me copies of his DD214s. ![]() He served in the Navy then in the Air Force. He died when I was young and Mom is dead so no explanation is available from her. ![]() My Profile is now corrected. Joy

![]() Besides ditto-dittoing SuperScout, no: "Apology" to Army nor "Explanation" from Mother needed.
Way back when...The U.S. Airforce was actually called: "The U.S. ARMY Air Force", PERIOD. Also, both Class-As & Fatigues & Ranks were very little different (if any) than Regular Army's. In movies,...the only difference noticed was that basically that Officer Flyers wore wings. Looked sharper in Class-As also. Besides and back then whether Drafted or Volunteering, you went where needed by Uncle Sam. If Army (Airforce inclusive) needed personnel, one became Army. Ditto-ditto any Sailors or Marines needed.
