Jesse Jackson has added former Democratic congressman Mel Reynolds to the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's payroll. Reynolds was among the 176 criminals excused in President Clinton's last-minute pardoning spree.

Reynolds received a commutation of his six-and-one-half year federal sentence for 15 convictions of wire fraud, bank fraud, and perjury before the Federal Election Commission. He is more notorious, however, for concurrently serving five years for sleeping with an underage campaign volunteer.

This is a first in American politics: an ex-congressman who had sex with a subordinate, winning clemency from a president who had sex with a subordinate, then hired by a clergyman who had sex with a subordinate.

'Scuse me, Scout, but didn't Reynolds have sex with a minor? I just want to make sure the record stays straight and no-one ever forgets why these crooks were in jail.

Would you expect any less from Jackson? Reynolds is from his home district where Jackson's son have a beverage distibutorship and you can bet that the money flowed both ways.

This is what our silence has brought us to. Because we have kept silent about the years of abuses by our military perpetrated on women it is now a big joke in our country and flaunted in all of our faces. Either we start demanding accountability or swallow more of the same...I for one hope we start demanding accountability. We need more men to join causes such as 5th ammendment WACs http://amendment5wacs.homestead.com and http://militarywoman.org and we need your voices anywhere and everywhere to speak out for us. Demand lost records be found and congress address the wrongs done to women who served, write your leaders for us, please.

Roger the sex with a minor charge. He also got caught in a sting operation that the little girl was supposed to set up with another minor, a parochial school student, so Mel could have his little menage a trois. Reason most of the news was deep-sixed is because of his color. Any charges by Masta Whitie might jest appear to be racist, don't you know.
