Super Scout on the mark...
Super Scout wrote regarding Kerry: His failure to recant his earlier testimony filled with lies and slander, and to apologize to those he insulted...
Don't forget the millions of kids of my generation, (those who were growing up in the 60's, and were teenagers in the 70's) who were on the receiving end of the Left's overt anger and public condecension to anyone who supported the troops. As a child of a WWII fighter pilot, I was blacklisted by many of my piers and older kids who looked at me as part of the "establishment" and a child-war-monger. (a supporter of the "baby killers") Rantings from the Anti-US Left rang throughout the school hallways. Veteran's kids I grew up with all experienced the same form of social exile. Ironically, 20 years later,(pre-9/11) those same Leftists would come up to me and say thanks for serving in the Gulf....and they invariably would say, "gee, I too should have served in the Military". I ALWAYS replied, "Just stand-by, your collective apathy and disdain has allowed our enemy to come to our shores... so just standby".... And ALWAYS their reply was "The military brainwashed you and you are a paranoid vet" 9/11 went a long way to proving their ignorance, once again. Scout is right, any documented heroism of Sen Kerry's service is far outweighed by his INTERNATIONAL efforts to condemn our troops. And his current promotion of "Progressive Internationalism" (read: International Socialism) as a new American foreign policy is dangerous. Remember, Hitler won the equivelent of two Medals of Honor. Does Hitler's heroism override his treason to his nation, and his quest for merely National Socialism? Hardball |

Quote:
Your hate-mongering, despicable, vile and vicious attacks on John Kerry are so profoundly "regular".................you obviously have no comprehension of just what in the hell you DO say about him, ya know? Let me refresh your memory a little, OK? SuperScout said, "But just to set your mind at ease, if the roles were reversed, I'd be questioning the wisdom of Bush in leaving his boat, of shooting unarmed enemy, of killing civilians, and of writing himself up for valorous awards . But since it's your boy Kerry, I'll confine my criticism of him and his questionable actions. Here's the bottom line, if you're man enough to admit it: Kerry was an inept junior officer, a bungling excuse for a real warrior, and a grandstanding self-promoter. If I had been his CO, I would have relieved him, and brought him up on charges with enough specifications that would have landed him in the brig for 15 years to life." And yet you continue to say, "My opposition to Kerry has nothing to do with his service in Vietnam, brief or otherwise,."???? :cd: You're kinda like "your boy" GEE-Freakin-W, ain't ya? Can't remember WHAT you've said............or WHEN you said it, huh?? Here's another you've evidently forgotten about. Super said, "This bizarre episode, recorded for all the world to see, illustrates the continuing pathological inconsistencies of John F**ing Kerry, and continuing doubts about his word, and for me, doubts about what he actually did during his very abbreviated visit to Vietnam." You don't think statements like the two above "question" or attempt to negatively portray his "service" in Viet Nam?? What a hypocrite you are! Here is two more statements you've made recently...............Super said, "If he releases them, and he comes across as the fighter he pretends to be, then I'll be the first to apologize here. If not, continual fields of fire will be laid down". Don't worry, I ain't holding my breath on that one! And, your last bit of hypocricy for perusement & reflection, Super said, "If a person makes an unfounded accusation against another, and that accusation is so heinous, so vile, so totally without the slightest whit of fact or reality, is that not venomous?" . So then, will YOU be "man" enough to apologize for the "unfounded" accusations you've ALREADY put forth about John Kerry? :cd: I doubt that!

My apologies
For several months, I had been laboring under the false assumption that Gimpy was a man of discernment, of word crafting, and given to mental dexterity. But alas, I was wrong, an my apology is hereby submitted. My being critical of how Kerry conducted himself during his brief time in-country is certainly and obviously not be to confused with with conduct while delivering sworn testimony before a Senatorial committee. Or his continued anti-military, pro-gay, pro-higher taxes voting record. I thought good ol' Gimpy could have figured that out, but I was wrong.
Most of us would not have such difficulty of seeing the differences between a regular 12-month tour, and a 4-month tour, with the latter being described as "brief." The brevity of Kerry's tour may have been aided and abetted by his wounds, but the tour was "brief," nevertheless. Most discerning minds can differentiate between "12" and "4." I thought. And why is repeating what occurred in a historically proven event "... hate-mongering, despicable, vile and vicious attacks on John Kerry..."? Did he or did he not lie before that committee? Did he or did he not knowingly deliver false testimony to this committee? Did or did he not slander the reputation, smear the honorable conduct, and impugn the decency of Vietnam veterans? In case you're still guessing and fumbling for the correct answers to the above three questions, they are, "Yes," "Yes, and "Yes." These are not unfounded accusations, as you lamely attempt to imply, but in fact are historical events that have been burned deeply into the psyche of the Vietnam veteran. Maybe you can accept the flips and flops of what Kerry stood for, stands for, and will probably change his mind about tomorrow, but not me.

The
only thing you need to apologize for is the items I mentioned in the post above here I posted on 4/21/04 at 11:04 A.M.!
YOU are the one that said them.....................and YOU are the one that clearly stated you would "aplogize" for them if proven wrong! You HAVE been proven wrong! And yet you continue your "waffling" and "waggleing" around to avoid admiting your hypocrisy! Anyone with an ounce of intelligence and a good set of eyeballs can see that!

Well Gimpy....it's starting to look like your boy Kerry got his first Purple Heart a month BEFORE he actually got command of the boat that he says he was on when he was wounded. The actual commander of the boat says Kerry was NOT ON BOARD when the action described by Kerry occured and that HE and not Kerry was the one who was wounded. I think your poster boy is going down in flames.
