RE: "led into this mess"

How were we led into this "mess" by 9/11?[/ QUOTE] I suggest you read Richard Clarkes' and Paul O'Neil's books for starters. After that, come back and we'll have further discussion and I'll offer you more evidence that the terrible events of"9/11" were used/manipulated to justify the attack upon Iraq. Bottom line.............Iraq had NOTHING to do with "9/11"....even though I'm sure Sadam Hussien wishes he did.

I guess you are also saying (vis a vis the reference books you recommend) that a lot of mistakes were made interpreting intel and fiddling around with stuff prior to invading Iraq? Here's a book I will recommend to you, and all confreres, which will certainly give an idea of what it was that has been compelling our government for the past few administrations to keep a mighty close eye on Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria and Russia. "Taliban, Militant Islam, Oil & Fundamentalism in Central Asia" By: Ahmed Rashid Yale University Press 2001 From that source, it will be very easy to understand not only why America and Britain took the lead against Iraq, but what is more, why it is so vital that: a. The battle be taken and taken and taken TO the enemy until he surrenders. b. Democratic governments and free economies be established throughout that entire region. There are no parallels, of any kind, between this war and Vietnam. Curiously, however, the opposition's arguements against the fight are strangely similar. |

Sir Blue
Get it through your head, it's all our fault! Don't you believe the "Blame America First" squad? Can't you understand that because of our greatness, some Muslim madmen planted a bomb in the WTC in 1993 (and the liberals sought indictments, remember, and didn't wage war?). Haven't you started your apology to the families of the Muslim terrorists who drove their rubber dinghy into the USS Cole, killing some of our sailors? Gawd, man where is your sensitivity? Obviously, your lack of compassion for the undertrodden Muslim terrorists is exceeded only by other's fawning support of such discredited authors as Richard Clarke and Paul O'Neill.

SuperScout...
Nice shot across the bow and/or saying-it-like-is regarding all those blaming the war DECLARED ON US BY ISLAMIC TERRORISTS on most every American not a Democrat,...instead of the mass-murdering (at every opportunity and everywhere) TERRORISTS THEMSELVES.
Still, it is too bad that so many in America make political careers out obstructing and undermining most everything possible in America, instead of uniting in word and deed to kill or destroy many more of the fanatical muslim assassins worldwide,...than "They" can kill or destroy of We Americans and all other Western Infidels and/or proponents of democracy. That's the only way of beating such tyrannically-murderous scum. Keep on continually conducting politically-correct warfare against such fanatical assassins abroad and keep on being undermined by opposition forces from within,...and America will pretty-much be politically forced defeating itself in the long run. Truly quite sad and quite sadly true. Besides,...do perpetually echoing themselves Dem Opposition Leaders actually believe that "They" are both bulletproof or bombproof and that only Republicans/Conservatives will be mass-targetted by Islamic Assassins??? I don't think so. Neil |
