Potato just launched to 'bamma after a great grilled pig dinner. Poker game goin' on behind me. Nuthin but broken records Thursday first night of the bash but with no casualties but an unfortunate chicken.

Back home alive and....Well back home anyway.
Another campout for the books and the stuff of legend. As always great food and friends. And-as always-this one was a unique blend of the predictable and the totally unanticipated. Of late I've noticed a distinct tendency not to refer to the '04 or the '06 campouts; but more often: "Remember the campout when..." Because (at least some of) what happens on the mtn. STAYS on the mtn., some folks will just never know unless they go. A truly great shame because no life can be considered complete without a trip to the mtn.. It will be interesting to see what pics. are posted.

Another unbelievable great time was had by most all! The pig and the rooster....well they did their jobs.

I have some great pics that if someone knows how to post...email me and I will be glad to send them so they can be posted. If you don't have my email....pm me and I'll send it.

It was so good to see everyone again and the West Coast Airborne Contingent....James, Frisco, and Kath. Pighumper, James, and I made the pilgrimage to Toccoa and Currahee. Bill Farnie!....you really need to make the trip to Toccoa, Ga. and see the museum. It is fantastic! We went up Currahee with only me running it. Well, the last 10 yards and it was an Airborne Shuffle...not a run. I got tired driving up that sumbitch, can't imagine running it, even when I was in shape. We got going late and didn't stay as long as we wish we could of and a very nice but long winded guy at the museum talked to us way too long and shortened our stay. Next time....will leave a bunch earlier. It's only 62 miles from Ellijay but takes almost 2 hours to drive it. You can get an idea by watching the first episode of Band of Brothers entitled CURRAHEE.

As far as I know, everyone survived the fun. Hope all made it home ok and can't wait to see some other pics on the site.

I'd also like to thank Sid, Psyco Fred, Jason, Ray, and Larry for paying for my trip in Saturday nights poker game. It was my turn!
