I'll take my Iron City..just loved the rusty sludge on the bottom. Got my daily requirement of iron, that's for sure.
Steal??? Nebah hoppen, GI. Did liberate a pallet of beer one time with the help of a gun gruck platoon. Kept it from the nasty remfs.

Dranked a few beers here and there when I was in Alaska, but in those days, I was mostly a JD and Coke man (that is, Coke like in Coca Cola). Use to have my cousin ship me a couple 5ths about every four weeks or so. Mostly like to drink beer with boiled seafood. Only place you get any hard stuff at Port Whittier was at the NCO Club and none of our sergeants would get it for us, we was nothing but a bunch of undesirable peons as far as they was concerned.

Hell,
Being 19, I don't remember any bad beer, warm beer was good beer, I remember a door gunner handing me a sand bag of Black lable, I thought it was christmas. The picture of me with the Miller was on LZ baldy by DaNang, Behind me was the commo bunker for some Marine unit. I was 4-Brovo then. Best two weeks I had in a long time. Ron |
