Better Off
Answering by the Royal Order of the Turtles: you bet your sweet ass I'm better off now than four years ago!
TO WIT: (1) happily receiving my retired pay from Uncle Sam (no, I'm not taking meds or food away from some elderly person) (2) able to start a new business, as taxes are lower. (3) don't have to worry about my warrior son going off on some meaningless "Meals on Wheels" mission. (4) have a President who acts presidential, instead of like a satyr. (5) witnessed the lessening of terrorists' capabilities. (6) can testify that my personal faith is stronger.
