How much is an ELF tag,anyhow...and do they give them to non-residents?

I believe that it is restricted to either 'landowners' or for 'disgruntled kids that didn't get what they wanted'.

Elf hunting requires no tag ... just a "Bah! Humbug!" attitude. I hunt 'em right on my roof and once in a while on the neighbor's ...seasons a bit short though. I advise shooting in the dark as they are veeeerrrry quick when illuminated with a spotlight.

Great pictures!! My Uncle & Aunt had a bald crew build a nest in a tree on there property (about 4 years ago) in Franklin NY (upstate). I went & visited a few times while the little one was learning to fly, they sure are beautiful creatures. I did snap a few pictures but none compaire to yours!! Super job.
