Will endeavor to remain focused on the many things that I have to be thankful for, and will thank The Lord for allowing me to be here to count these blessings.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I'm off this whole week from work, so have already started on the Happy part. I had lunch today at KFC to practice for tomorrow . You know, start out small.

Doc Fred said it right: We all have so much to be Thankful for.

I'm reminded of them often when I feel Kath's hand give me a casual touch, and her lips and dark brown eyes gives me a smile. When I hear my son's voice [like tonight] on the phone all the way from Japan, and our conversation ends with "I love you, Dad," and he gives the phone to his daughter, Amanda, and our talk ends with "I love you, Grandpa." When I'm sitting in my daughter's livingroom and she's telling me a funny anecdote with that great Irish sense of humor that she has, and she's smiling at me with those blue eyes that are a reflection of my own; and Finnegan is sitting in my lap with a book that he wants me to read to him, while 2mos. old Ben is laying on the couch cooing to himself in a language that only he knows. And when I lay in bed sometimes and think of all of the chances that Death had to take me and didn't, allowing all of the above to come to pass. Yes, I have so much to be Thankful for.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

My wife and I will spend the day at Longfellow's Wayside Inn in Subury, MA, dressed in our 18th century finery and greeting guests. Its always a lot fun and I'll probably do some musket firing demonstrations. Eighteen century womens fashion meant a VERY low cut gown and its funny to watch men as they speak to my wife. They try, real hard, to look her in the eye but she'll intentionally take deep breaths...and the guys will surrender to the visual image. Men; we're such pigs.

Hope all at Patriots files had a great Thanksgiving. Sean the Ensign spent his last Thanksgiving with us and his Grandma for a while. Tomorrow he's heading back to his boomer at Kings Bay. My mom is 91 and had a great Thanksgiving. She's in CHARGE of making the Turkey Gravy. All the kids were there and we stuffed ourselves till we couldn't move and have tons of leftovers to make it through the next couple of days. All in all a good day.

Default Talk about bad table manners...and over-reacting!

http://www.montereyherald.com/mld/mo...s/10277613.htm

Poor Table Manners Lead to Stabbings

A man was charged with stabbing two relatives after they allegedly criticized his table manners during Thanksgiving dinner.

Police said the fight broke out Thursday when Gonzalo Ocasio, 49, and his 18-year-old son, Gonzalo Jr., reprimanded Frank Palacious for picking at the turkey with his fingers, instead of slicing off pieces with a knife.

Palacious, 24, described by police only as an uncle, allegedly responded by stabbing them with a carving knife.

He is charged with domestic assault and assault with intent to murder, Detective Sgt. Thomas R. Radula said.

Police said Ocasio Jr. suffered stab wounds to the chest, back and right side. A nursing supervisor at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center said Friday she had no information on his condition. His father was treated for a stab wound in his arm.
