Ron :

"God" believers.....Hmmm

Well in my very, very limited view of the Universe..I suppose there are at least 3 ways to view the great all "what is"...

1 ) the Universe and our little blue-marble planet ( view from outer space ) and all our deeds for good or ill right down to our individual personalities....is just an illusion, and therefore is meaningless...

2) All the above...and the creation of said Universe, our planet, and ourselves and individual personalities...is real, but just some sort of cosmic accident or "joke"..and is meaningless...i.e. live for today..eat, drink, and be merry....for tomorrow we all die.

3) Believe that the Universe was created for a reason, our planet and ourselves as well...and we are all on a journey here, and finding meaning in the Universe means finding God in our own way.

I suppose all of us choose believe in something, even if we think we believe in nothing.....

As for me ...Jesus said it best ..

Matthew 22 : 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

All IMHO.

Larry

Talking Andy

I'm 100% Orthodox Quaker, I get the Orthodox part but I've always been a supporter of our military and allowed myself to be drafted. I must of went wrong someplace. All Quakers are CO.
