We been there done that already. Remember the Kuwait oil fields that Saddam torched? It was quite a mess, for sure. With all the security Saudi Arabia has added and a ?kill on sight? attitude toward Al Qaeda I think it would be difficult for the terrorist to replicate that kind of damage. Then add the reality that what Al Qaeda is really after and needs is the petro-wealth, I believe they will continue the present course of trying to take down the Saudi Government. If they succeed in doing that; as many of our politicos hope and work for, we can expect a major, major economic rescission and crude to streak past $100 a barrel just for openers. Then the question becomes if or if not the US will be willing to cede the entire mid east to hostile forces and become a captive monkey on a string.
