Actuallly I had read where they were considering waving some requirements to get more people into specialties that they are short of. And I believe Chaplain is one of those.
Keith, Do you think you'll get used to being saluted?

Hold out for Captain.
Green-bar would dissapoint your congregation at home. And you'ld get stuck with whatever the chaplains do instead of burning stuff. And don't listen to the 'troopers. Keep your boots on the ground.

I doubt very seriously
I doubt very seriously they really want me. I did it more out of a curiosity to see what they would reply. But, if they make me an offer, I just might have to think about it.

Keith,
better consider going Airborne. I think jump pay is over $100 now. Airborne Padres are some tough dudes. Gotta be to try to keep paratroopers from straying . Will definately test your faith.
Stand Up! Hook Up, Padre!

My eyesight ain't what it used to be, but I remember all the steps. Well...most of 'em anyway. It ain't much different than sackin' up your dirty laundry. :re: |

Our SF chaplains
were the only guys that would get picked up on the DZ, everyone else had to walk to the chute truck. Our chaplains jeep (HQ 69) would roll across the DZ and the driver would help roll the chute then the chaplain would ride in on the hood. We called him silver bullet.
