Post Robert

My older brother had brain surgery last June. He had another surgery (a finesse clean up job) in January after chemo and radiation. That time they placed chemo chips on area where the first surgery took place. Just had his third MRI and they believe he is cancer free. He's 64. The tumor was the size of a pea.
The one set back was the area of the tumor was in his language storage area. He lost many of his nouns. (people - places - things: the subject of our sentences) He is having to rebuild a new vocabulary of nouns. He has it almost restored but occassionally he struggles with placing a noun in a sentence. He never lost any reflexes, sense of humor or other abilities, just his nouns. We tease him about nounless.
That brain cancer can be a scary thing. I know it has been for our family.

Good to hear the good news about your wife.

Praise the Lord!

Keith

My wife had the chemo chips in her also but they since disolved. We are fortunate that she has not lost any memory, she does have a shake in her right hand. Yes it is sacry, any cancer is scary, but with prayers and the wonderful docotr we have, she will have a fighting chance to be caner free.
