I just got off the phone with Frisco and Kath. They are driving in Virginia, on their way to Luray Caverns. They both express their deepest sympathies for our fallen brother. I have emailed them Andy's phone and address. They will be calling Annette tonight or tomorrow. He wanted all of y'all to know how hard this is for him.

Airborne Andy! Rest in Peace, your pain is over.

From Frisco and Kath

I was blessed to meet Andy 2 times in my life- the first time he and Curtis came and spent the night at our house before going to the mountain- he was and is an amazing man- I was so impressed by how much he accomplished as a cop- he put so many scum bags in prison that hurt so many children and that comes close to home with me- so along with all those familys I thank you Sir! The second time I got a chance to see him I drove up to the Mtn. just as someone was shaving all his thick long curly hair off- it was so funny and he was having such a great time- I will miss you Andy and I'm so sorry for your loss Annette- I know he is finally in peace and not hurting anymore! I also want to thank you Annette for helping my Dad by showing him to believe! I told Johnny that Andy Died and he said"the angels came and took him" I'm so glad Daddy has him around right now- he is the best medicine for him! Thank you Andy for loving us- thank you Annette for loving us- we will always be here if you need anything at all- love always, Lil'LT.

Not to sure of how to respond here.....Andy and I only met for an all too brief four days on a mountain in North Georgia, we spent countless other hours talking on the phone.

He is probably more responsible for me coping with my war-time and firefighting experiences than any counselor, doctor or voodoo witch that I ever spent time with. A big part of me feels like he saved my life.

Not too sure where we old soldiers and public servants go when we are called home, but you can bet your ass that Tom is there, leading the group and has a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.

You will be missed my friend, but never forgotten! Thanks for everything.

Trav

He was a medic. Helped me deal with why I survived when a lot did not. I miss him already and will think of him often. Peace brothers.
