Not all of them get the Artritis but like a Pug with respitory problems it's just something that breed has a chance getting. Basset Hounds are also prime candidates for arthitis in the backs and hips. I've had friends with healthy Pugs and Dashund without the genetic problems associated with inbreeding(caused mostly by Puppy mills not making sure The Daddy dog doesn't mate with too many daughters in a row) A reliable AKA dog owner will make sure the papers don't look like a hillbilly family tree a straight line
