Wink Just got Up!

I need a cup of coffee! Hope you all had a great holiday. But, more importantly took the time to remember those who gave their all that we might enjoy the freedoms which we have. Got some coffee?

Keith

I took my mother to the parade.
Shortest I've ever seen but a parade none the less.

We ended the day at the local VFW where the 3 of us looked at all the archives and talked of all the family activity there and things not often discussed.

Hope all had as good a holiday.

Joy

Default Howdy Folks

just been back on the back 40 cleaning up after the campout last week went out to the cemetary where my moms buried and visited with her for a while and stayed for the memorial day ceremony over in the Veterans garden, very moving especially since 9/11 some guys from my old Reserve were the color guard, I still get a lump in my throat everytime I hear taps being played, then went to a couple more cemetaries and visited some old friends after that spent the day traveling from one BBQ to another, it was beautiful clear warm day, temp got up to 78 I believe, pours coffee for everyone and hands them out

Spent an okay weekend trying to keep breathing..I think I am getting over whatever this is and the hospital gave me a nifty inhaler thing thats the size of a shotgun (well seems like it)

Paul and I spent a lot of time on the porch remembering the men and women in our families that gave their all for our country while I tried really hard not to get completely pissed off at the sales ads that kept coming our way. When did this become go buy a new truck day!?!?

Anyway...been a long night, been a long weekend. I could use some coffee too! Heck just make up another pot ..I'll drink it.

Default Hello everyone

Had a long five day weekend and now it's back to work. Did nine cemetaries, two Veterans monuments, one police dept. flag dedication and the local community Memorial Day remeberance yesterday with the Honor guard. Five in the morning till about three thirty in the afternoon. Worth every minute of it. I better have a couple beers sarge, just to get my strength back. Hope you all had a good weekend.

Default Thanks sarge

You gotta remember that I was practically raised on the golden grain, schmidts and hamms. They used to be a lot better before the big breweries bought them out.

Default yup Drywall

in the good old days those were the beers to drink up here in these parts as a matter of fact I live just about 5 blocks from the old Grain Belt Brewery on Marshall st N.E. Mpls used to stop in there on hot summer days and get cold drinks of water straight from the tap of their Artisian wells, course that was before I was old enough to drink beer back then
