No matter how old I get....I'll still be younger than you (not by much)

Post Surprise, Surprise!

Got a note in the mail today.
They really are interested in a 60 year old geezer.

Keith

P.S. Now I have to do some serious thinking.

Keith...think about it.....you could be the only one to have a "special" body guard....just stick me in your duffel and I will travel anywhere with you, I have my own weapons and I don't need a monthly check! Think about it, a minister with his own force multiplier!

Keith buddy, there is no way I can advise you on this. I can tell you this, there was a guy that worked in the local Limestone Post Office that was called up with the 278 Armored Cavalry Regiment. He was a E-5 in the infantry. There was one other thing, he was 60 years old. Can you imagine a 60 year old grunt in Iraq? To make a long story short, he was not allowed to go to Iraq because of his age. Trouble was, he really wanted to go. I told him he didn't miss a thing. The reason I knew him was I had to go there to sign for my Ambien without which I had a real hard time sleeping. I showed the pills to him and said, do you really want to have the rest of your life devastated with the pain of war? He told me he would do what he was trained to do. In other words, I have no answer.

Keith :

It is sure not a decision to be made with a lot of thought and prayer on your part. You could make a difference in many servicemen and women's lives......

May God Bless,

Larry

Talking

On a long road march at night , when I was a BCT Company Commander , I saw two guys way behind the rest of us. I took off back to them cursing like a sailor the whole way. Got back to them and it was the Chaplin and a fat trainee. Go for it Keith !
