Thanks for confirming what I wrote earlier. If you will recall, inflation during the Carter years was sky-high, and obvioulsy it took a few years of the Reagan administartion to bring things under control, lower the inflation rate, and ergo the VA COA increase. And I also acknowledge your continuing paranoia in alleging that it was some wascally wepublican tactic to get GHWB elected. The COA increases are pegged to the inflation rate, perhaps not on a one-on-one basic, but close. The drastic increases during the Carter years only demonstrates what an incompetent boob he was, and still is BTW!

Gimpy, if you spent one tenth of the time that you use to bash Republicans, to help us "Real Veterans" out, the phonys that are innundating the VA would be kicked out of the system. You would be doing everybody a service. You'd have more money in the VA's funding to help "Real Veterans" and you wouldn't be losing funding to pay for medical treatment of frauds. That would certainly free up a lot of money for veterans wouldn't it?

Why do you have to fight other veterans? Why can't you see past your political views and do something constructive for a change?

The VA is overloaded with phony veterans who are sucking up the money that should go for the treatment of veterans who were there. 80% or more of the VA's outlays are to treat "Veterans" who have no combat service and are substance abusers. Many of them never finished their first year of service. Some not even basic training. WTF?

Hey Gimpy! Who are you going to blame when the 110th Congress screws the vets? You have to know that they are going to screw us somehow! Going to blame it on the GOP this time?
