I went with the Boy Scouts yesterday to decorate the graves at the veteran's cemetary at Mountain Home VA Hospital. There are over 16,000 graves there going back to the Civil War. The boys plant a flag at each tombstone, take a step back and give a salute. It is the one thing the boys do silently. To see several hundred boys moving across the cemetary in such reverence is heartwarming. Me, I think back to when I was a boy going over this same cemetary with other scouts, several of whom are buried here now. Taps and a gentle breeze.

Hope all of you here at the PF have a great Memorial Day and remember to take just a minute or so to remember your fallen brothers and remember those of all America's wars who have given their lives, especially those of OEF and OIF

Another Memorial Day Poem that we received today and thought I would share it with all of you!!!!
Mrs. H ______________________________ Memorial Day Poem We walked among the crosses Where our fallen soldiers lay. And listened to the bugle As taps began to play. The Chaplin led a prayer We stood with heads bowed low. And I thought of fallen comrades I had known so long ago. They came from every city Across this fertile land. That we might live in freedom. They lie here 'neath the sand. I felt a little guilty My sacrifice was small. I only lost a little time But these men lost their all. Now the services are over For this Memorial Day. To the names upon these crosses I just want to say, Thanks for what you've given No one could ask for more. May you rest with God in heaven From now through evermore. AND DON'T EVER FORGET THEM!!!!!!!!! SF NC

Memorial Day 2005 has come and gone, but our memories must remain forever!
I can think of no better way to show that we will never forget, than to display (every day - in every way) that each and every U.S. trooper, from the very first to serve and fall in the Revolutionary War, to the members of our gallant military still battling in far away places, are revered and treated with respect and pride infinitum! VERITAS
