...take I90 to 787 north, and then go to the "Green Island exit, not that far, 787 is only??8 miles long, and take a right off the exit, come to the light, and yeild sign, go right over the bridge(which is the Green Island bridge), and you will be at the end if the parade come early, and you can help put it up ON SUNDAY MORNING

...The crane can not get there until Sunday morning at 0900, I go to spring this up in 2-3 hours now, just found out today that it's in use until then, I'm miffed, but nothing I can do, just praying it don't rain, ...

...almost all went well today,...

...got there at 0900, and started rigging, and setting up, had the flag flying by 10:30 am strung across 4th street, and looking great, then the ""parade committee comes over and gives me a line of shit about the flag being too large, and overshadowing the rest of the parade etc, and that I had to swing it off to the side so it didn't "eclipise" the American flag, I blew a gasket, and was told that I, and it would not be invited back next year as it doesn't """fit""" the theme of the flag day parade, they said it could be seen as far down as "Tyler street, well no shit you idiots, what do you think this is all about, I sent them all the information that was provided to me from Tim Rowe, and don't they know what 30'X60' means,...

...QM Steve showed up, and was a great help when I had to drop it towards the end due to rain moving in fast, but together we got some great pictures, and will post up as soon as p[oss.

What a parade! Andy, you missed a good one. The parade was preceded by a wave of sweat. Curtis was serious, 90's and 80-85% rel. humidity.

I've got to find out how to shrink the file size of the pic files and I will post them. Maybe I'll post them and Bern and David will "crop" them? Between the three cameras that Curtis had, with a total of 81 photos, and the digitals I took, we should have some great shots.

You need to find the one of the "Support the Troops" girl. Front shot. It just stopped raining here. We got hammered with a downpour as I got into Oneonta. It's been raining for about 1-1/2 hours. I'll take a raincheck for the beer next time I get in the area.
