Thumbs up Two Week Report

Went to Doc.
Had x-rays
Had stitches removed
No infection

Prognosis: 95 - 99% recovery.

Still in the external fixator for three or four weeks. (I need patience)

Doc says I'm a good healer, but I believe its God.

Thanks for all your prayers!

Keith

Post One Month Check Up!

Had a one month check up on my arm. I will get this fixator removed on Friday 13th. They remove it surgically. So I have one more surgery (minor but they use the operating room at the hospital) on next Friday. Everything seems to be healing well. Total Costs for one broken Arm to date: $25,000. That has to be the most expensive round of golf every.

Church Board Voted that I take up a safe sport, such as hang gliding. Taking up a collection to buy a really good pair of golf shoes.

Keith

P.S. Been basically healthy most of my life. This makes me realise what those who have been injured go through. Lots more empathy.

Thumbs up Today! I'm unfixed!

I get the fixator removed today! I will be able to have more movement in my arm and wrist. Also in two weeks begin phyisical therapy (home school type). Sure be glad to get rid of this expensive device. Doctor said I heal very well for an "older man". Older man . . . . . . . I'm not old yet, I just look old.

Ron won't let me be his driver. I'm tooooo old. I guess its reality check. I'm an old geezer.

Keith,

Older man?! Don't you hate that?! I had a short stay in the hospital a few years ago and one of the nurses was very attractive (foldout material). My wife is a nurse and she's told me several tales of men who tried to grabass her, so I asked my nurse if that had happened to her. She said, "Not since they started assigning me to the old guys!"

I don't know what's more a blow to the ego; needing the "little blue pill" or having a young babe show no fear of you.

Default Alas, the final truth..........

This is it the pure truth, last and the final check before accepting the ?old guy? reality. Go on down to one of the southern states like Tennessee, Georgia or the Carolinas and if the pretty young waitress in a restaurant or the Gal grocery checker calls ya ?Darlin?, ?Sweetie? or any such endearment you know you?re toast, that?s it. Old Guydom has arrived, it?s irrevocable, carved in stone and as real as gravity.

Try:
"Honey, I'm old, not dead."

Post Got the fixator removed!

Got that fixator removed! I have to wear a hard splint (removable cast) for three weeks. Still fuzzy from all the drugs in surgery. But glad to have that fixator off. I can rotate my arm.

Coming back from the campout in Sequim. we stopped at a resturant for dinner on Saturday and the waitress asked us if we wanted to order from the seniors menu. I'm an old geezer and falling apart. I don't think I'm old but they are telling me I'm old.

Damn, Keith!

The doc calls you an older man and the waitress hands you the senior menu. Maybe some Grecian formula will help!
