Wars are always a nasty thing, and the bloody sword of destruction usually cuts in both directions.

If not wielded by the original architect, then certainly by those who come after, or those who will not allow spilled blood to have been shed without retaliation!

War, regardless of scope, is not a turkey shoot, but rather a reciprocating action with dire consequences to the innocent as well as the guilty, to the dove as well as the despot, to the instigator and orator alike!

And who is to say, wherein the true evil rests - be it within captured power itself or in the questioning of the corrupted use of that power.

Evil, after all, can not flourish or be maintained, were it not for those who exalt or follow the banner of a beast!

In carefully scrutinizing the affairs of the past, we find that there are many different opinions about them, and that there are some things that are quite unclear. It is better to regard such things as unknowable. Lord Sanenori once said,

This is very profound. It is natural that one cannot understand deep and hidden things. Those things that are easily understood are rather shallow.
