Bill,

You're right...gotta love this kind of baseball!

Man, that was the LONGEST eighth and ninth innings in the history of the sport!

More amazingly, the Sox and the Yankees got through the entire series with no "contact" baseball this year.

Well...er...um...except for one instance. :re:

Best Series I've seen in some time. Yanks were out played thats all it was. Brenner's got to be doing some major backflips about now. Oh well - shit happens - even to him.

Go Boston!!!

Sorry I missed your call. An old friend dropped by and said we had to see the game at a place called the Brass Cat. There were free buffalo wings, pizza and Jack and coke was only $2.75. Jack, did you see Johnny Damon jack that grand slam?

Bob, the Colts will make the pay offs, be ready.

Stay healthy,
Andy

Tina I agree "Go Cards"

CARDS GOING TO WORLD SERIES

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The best team in baseball now gets a chance to prove it in the World Series. Albert Pujols hit a tying double, Scott Rolen followed with a home run and the St. Louis Cardinals suddenly erupted against Roger Clemens, startling the Houston Astros 5-2 Thursday night to take Game 7 of the NL championship series.

In a matchup where the home team won each time, the Cardinals broke through with two outs in the sixth inning. It came in a span of only two pitches, and Busch Stadium became a roiling sea of red.

Jeff Suppan overcame a leadoff home run by Craig Biggio to win an apparent mismatch against Clemens. The bullpen combined for three scoreless innings, shutting down Carlos Beltran and Co., with Jason Isringhausen working the ninth for his third save.

After posting 105 wins and running away with the NL Central, the Cardinals advanced to their first World Series under manager Tony La Russa, and first overall since 1987.

Next up, the Boston Red Sox in Game 1 on Saturday night at Fenway Park. By all accounts it should be a classic - they also met in the 1967 and 1946 Series, and St. Louis won both, going the full seven games.

Pujols led the way, hitting .500 with four homers and nine RBI. Overall, the teams combined for 25 home runs, the most in any postseason series.

Larry Walker singled home an insurance run in the eighth, and the club sporting the famed birds-on-the-bat logo captured its 16th pennant.

I'm going to surprise you Lt. Homie but I will root for the BozoSox because they are representing the American League.
