I know this because a while back Anthony Marsh played the baby killer card over in the jfk group and of course he ran to My Lai as they all seem to do. Nigel Brooks was tearing Marsh a new one about My Lai when Marsh laid this "reference" on us. And sure nuff, that is what the site says. Nigel pointed out that any half assed investigator would know that Powell was in the U.S. going to the Command and General Staff (I think) school at the time of My Lai and couldn't have possibly given the order. I doubt that this fact did any good to change any of these fool's minds. But it confirmed my suspicions that you can find any thing on the web. Bill Clarke |

I pointed out to him that Powell was (1) not in Vietnam at the time, (2) was at Command and General Staff School during March 68, and (3) was not in the chain of command for the planning of the operation. His response was the usual - that he was pointing out someone else had made those allegations. It's a pity that libel laws don't allow the libeled to hunt down the poster of the allegations and string them up by the balls (or nipples as the case may be) -- Nigel Brooks |
