Talking Short !!!!!

Just wanted to pass along the fact that I am retiring from my present company of employment, after almost 17 years, on Aug 30th. Today I have officially become one of the single-digit short timers, with only 9 more days.
I guess this means I have "officially" joined the "old coggers league" as well, but t'aint so, as I have not quite reached the double-nickle age.
I'm going to be taking a couple of weeks for vacation with my wife, beginning on the 31st and after that, it's time to finally tackle the old honey-do jar. My wife has been saving up her "honey-do's" just for this time. She doesn't want me to get bored with my "leisure life".
I don't eally know as yet exactly what I'm going to do next, but I'll start thinking about that after my vacation.

SHORT !!!!

Don't become wicked because you are short.

You could come and visit Chris, Griz, SFC Darrell, and Myself.

Congratulations!

Thumbs up

Congrats on retirement. Somewhere in life I took a left when they were talking about money. They will probably find me slumped over my desk when I am 75 , choked on a ham sandwitch I brought from home

Wow I can't even believe that someone gets to retire! My 401K took such a dump in the last two years that I'll be working along side DMZ-LT sharing a sandwich.

I'm happy for you and your wife. Keep up the good health and enjoy those lazy laid back days.

Wink Wow

You just made me realize that except for a 3 week attempted come back it's been 5 years since I stopped working. Retirement isn't all it's cracked up to be, IT'S BETTER! You just have to retire smart. When Annette told me it was now my job to wash all the dishes, I bought a dishwasher. When she said I was going to mow the grass, the riding lawn mower got fixed, etc.
One last piece of advise. Retirement for some means a lot more time to drink. Don't do that.

Stay healthy,
Andy

Just want to say CONGRATS for your up and coming retirement.

The folks there will be missing a good man.

There you had to look at their ugly faces each and every day of the week, but here you just have to put up with us.

Since your from Tx, I hope you have a good sized work shop to go and hide in after the Honey Do is over.

Just dont forget good buddy:

There is no Statue of Limitations on Murder,,,,,,,,So dont go killing a bunch of time.

enough...............

Congratulations Sgt Tropo! Maybe your honey will help you dew! Anyway I'll be eating sandwiches with Drywall, DMZ-LT, and Boats most likely until I fall along side of the road somewhere along with the rest of the uninsured if VA continues to have its way with me but I sure am not jealous of those who can do it nd am glad you can. Have a happy one! Cause trouble!
