War, what is it good for.....
http://www.zwire.com/site/news.asp?b...d=10958951&pag
Fallen soldier's mother says her son 'died for absolutely nothing' By John Tredrea , Staff Writer 02/12/2004 Generous, compassionate, warm, piercingly intelligent and insightful, frank and open about his feelings, and fun loving. That is how Army 1st Lt. Seth Dvorin, 24, who was killed in Iskandariyah, Iraq on Feb. 3, is remembered by his grieving family. But their tumultuous emotional mix is replete with stinging anger and frustration, as well as overwhelming sorrow. "My son died for absolutely nothing," Lt. Dvorin's mother, Sue Niederer, declared with quiet, forceful bluntness in her Hopewell Township home on Lake Baldwin Drive Friday. Ms. Niederer blames President George W. Bush personally for her son's death. "Seth died for President Bush's personal vendetta," she said. "Bush put us where we should never have been. We're not even in a declared war." -- |

Some people think Congress must validate/confirm/legalize the condition of war with a legislative declaration. Our enemies offer no such civilities, they simply kill and destroy. One either sits by passively and waits for legislation/world opinion or one fights and defends. I'm in the later camp. Seth died fighting for freedom and democracy. To imply his life was wasted in a personal vendetta is ludicrous. It is sad that some only see the loss of a life in personal terms. Seth represents our nations' blood and was a fine warrior defending the ideas for which our nation stands - freedom and democracy. The finest our nation has to offer. He will be eternally remembered for his noble sacrifice. And that's my official declaration, gawdamnit! Greg |

Re: Who Do Islamo-Fascist Terrorists Want to Win '04, Dems orRepubs?
You can bet your sweet bippy that the Islamo-Fascist terrorists in the
oil rich Mideast want the Dems to win '04. Who better to enable and to further the Islamo-Fascist terrorist cause of taking down America than the ill-Liberal neo-commie / socialist-Hyenacrat Dems? It seems there is always somebody preparing for the grief of the loved ones by seeding doubt and directing anger at President Bush in the most distorted of terms, as in Lt. Dvorin's mother saying "Seth died for President Bush's personal vendetta. Bush put us where we should never have been. We're not even in a declared war." No doubt Seth's mother has been pounded endlessly with the same message that has pounded us all, that the war against terrorism has not been formally declared by Congress and that therefore the war is illegal and illegitmate. The last time Congress declared war in the fashion required by Seth's mother was Dec. 8, 1941; and since then, the Congress has sat on its hands, preferring safety and reelection over risk and leadership. You're right Greg, America's enemies take advantage of the quivering Congress and the milling mobs of Americans that demand safety over justice. |

It's a volunteer force. Her son knew the risks. She needs to quietly vent her grief and STFU. -- "Conan, what is best in life?'' The first thing the Dems will do is to rebuild our relations with our allies in Europe and Asia. That will recreate a multi-national effective front against terrorists. Bush had that front but pissed it away in Iraq. |

Re: Who Do Islamo-Fascist Terrorists Want to Win '04, Dems orRepubs?
>allies in Europe
Allies like Germany (vestige: Hitler & Nazi), France (vestige: Petain & Vichy), and Russia (vestige: Stalin & Union of Soviet Socialist Republics)? Who all three were illegally taking big bucks from Saddam in exchange for oil behind the U.S.'s and the U.N.'s back for 12 years in direct violation of numerous U.N. resolutions including #1441? Who all three were selling Saddam weapons that were used to shoot at U.S.and British aircraft enforcing the No-Fly Zone for which Iraq still owes big bucks? With "allies" like that, who needs enemies? Germany and France are no more allies to the U.S. than the Democrats are supporters of the U.S. military, national defense, or the human intelligence gathering apparatus. The Clinton Administration gutted the military, slashed national defense, and all but eliminated our human intelligence on the ground in the Mideast {satellite photos alone won't do the trick} and Kerry no doubt intends to do the same, or worse. >Asia You mean like Communist Mainland Red China, the folks who gave money to Clinton's re-election campaign in 1996 in exchange for nuclear weaponry secrets which found their way into Pakistan's hands and then on to North Korea's and Iran's? So you Dems *do* support the Axis of Evil as well as the terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, don't you? Here's what's happening for grassroot members of the Democrat Party: http://www.f16viper.org/eject.mpg IOW, they're bailing out as the Party crashes and burns. The Red Flag of the Clinton-run socialist Democrat Party has faded in the 21st century sun to surrender monkey white. Rodham-Clinton legacy: 2002 - Clinton Admits: "I Refused Bin Laden Extradition Offer" - Audio: http://www.newsmax.com/showinside.sh...02/8/10/230919 1993 - Clinton controls White House while Democrats control Senate, House, state legislatures, governorships. 2004 - Republicans own all that. Why? Clinton lies and scandals. 1998 - Just another distraction from Tail-Gate(?): http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stori...s/clinton.html 2003 - from Clinton: http://news.ninemsn.com.au/World/story_54281.asp What happened to the strong on national defense, space pioneering, physical fitness advocating, middle class tax cutting Democratic Party of JFK? |
