Crosswalk Volunteers Needed
With the start of the new school year everyone in the community, to include military, U.S./MOD civilian personnel, parents and contractors, need to ensure that children are kept safe while walking to and from school. Five volunteers are needed twice a day to ensure coverage throughout the high-traffic areas. The crosswalks are located near the Lords-Walk housing area, the Housing Office, the roundabout by Liberty Intermediate School and the Lakenheath Elementary School roundabout. Depending on location, the crosswalks are manned from approximately 7:30 to 8:10 a.m. and 2:30 to 3:10 p.m. To volunteer, contact the School Liaison Office at 226-5077/5078 or email 48MSG.CCL@lakenheath.af.mil.
