?Ah, the promise of youth!? It is too bad that it (youth) is sometimes wasted upon the young? (opinion) And alas, the hopes, the plans and the dreams of parents are often cut short by the foolishness and zeal of immaturity!?

More and more these days, our school yards and campuses are being turned into battlefields! A place in which the ?Laws Of Science? are being transformed into the ?Laws Of The Jungle!?

?So what really happens when you send your kids happily off to school in the morning? Are you sure that you will ever see them (alive) again??

Are you happy and pleased that they are taking giant leaps into a happy and productive adult life? Well, this is how it should be, but unfortunately, this is not always a fact of life in the real world!!

The latest example of the scope of brutality that infects a few of the ?Hallowed Halls of Learning? has again reared it?s venomous head, this time at ?San Jose State University!? And the catalyst, according to the media, was a lousy game of pool!? ?A game of billiards, that turned into a blood-fest in short order!!?

During this violent brawl between two rival fraternities (or educated gangs if you prefer), several students were severely injured (three I believe were knifed and one bludgeoned)?! One student died as a result of knife wounds, and to sadden matters even more - it was the kid?s birthday!!

It never ceases to amaze me how, according to the ?Powers The Be?, all of the world?s woes reside far removed from our hallowed shores. I only wish that our elected government would take off the self-applied blinders and address one or two of our own social ills for a change, instead of pouring fortunes into foreign coffers and exercises in lasting futility!

Have we truly become the ?Liberals Of The Entire Planet?, while at home we practice a ?Myopic Form of Conservatism?? If true, is this not hypocrisy at it?s worst!?
