Here's a very interesting email to ponder, forwarded to me.
And yes, Boats. Below referred are the very same yokels you say: "Will fix things next election".


Dear Boss,

I have enjoyed working here these past several years

You have paid me very well, given me benefits beyond belief. I have 3-4
months off per year and a pension plan that will pay my salary till the
day I die and a health plan that most people can only dream about.

Despite this I plan to take the next 12-18 months to find a new position.

During this time I will show up for work when it is convenient. In addition
I fully expect to draw my full salary and all the other perks associated with
my current job.

Oh yes, if my search for this new job proves fruitless, I will be back with no
loss in pay or status. Before you say anything, remember that you have no
choice in the matter. I can and will do this.

They all say one thing then fall in line with the leadership in place. It's very rare when any of them take exception as to do so would put them in the doghouse. So many new ones come in each election only to be put down or in place by the management of each party. Fall in line or fall behind - is their rally upon their swearing in. I think many come in would like to make change the only way this can happen is to limit terms to two terms max. and your out. They get big money from those (with it) to agree to vote for issues relating to their agendas not the officials running for office. Big money seems to control everything in politics. I could be wrong?
