Just think of the history behind all those patches from WWI to present day. Thoses patches have been worn by US Soldiers who have served and fought in just about every country on the face of the earth. They still continue to serve and make more histroy for the units they represent.

Battle streamers also tell a story
Each military unit has a unit flag and with that goes battle streamers for every action that unit was engaged in or a part of. When the 25th ID stood down the division was on parade at Cu Chi for the stand down ceremony. If you weren't on essential duty you were on parade that day. It was and is the only time I have ever seen a full division in military parade formation from the Division CG on down. I remember watching all of the flags with their battle streamers flying while the division band played ALOHA at half cadence. There was not a dry eye in the formation. Sure wish I had a picture of that event.

I don't know what's happening but when I go to the website, there's no patches at all on the top of the page, nowhere around the words Deploy or Digest at all. I have looked at all10 pages closely and its not there. I believe it must be browser settings or something but I promise you, on my screen, there'e no patches at all. i'm glad other people can see it though--it DID look like a pregnant seahorse. Thanks though, its a good page James
