Neil - I'd say because they can - and have - and whenever we least expect it. We are somewhat naive to think it won't happen again. No matter what we say we are doing to prevent it - they will find a way. After 9/11 insecurity became very real to most. It was shocking to me when it happened and its still makes mad that they got away with it. Killing Saddam didn't end it - radicals strive to do it again over and over again. Somehow someone in their religious sec said that this ensures their way to their God. They are so radical to the extreme and will remain so.
Today American peoples feel insecurity - how we fix that needs to be considered. Terror is frightening - so they ensure that they will do their utmost to make us feel that way. We are a very open society and our people like to mass together at many events around the US. So they (the radicals) know this and will make every opportunity to disrupt our life style and put fear into everyone - this is simply terrorism it shows everyone that they can do it. This is also not just terrorist but unstable people's (here and around the world) not do this because they can in most cases. I don't know what happened to this world why we destroy everything at one time or another. It seems we disagree to disagree most often now. Harmony we could use some. Boats
