Default Check cashed,...

...

...watched it twice, and although her physical action with her foot doesn't look all that agressive, I'm sure it was a case of "the straw that broke the camels back", and then "don't let your mouth write a check your ass can't cover", and the officer had enough,...

...I have a 17 year old, and knowing the attitudes of the "younger generation', I can see why this guys gave her a taste of being an adult, In my day, you didn't "sas" your parents, or you'd be picking your ass up out of the corner, and wouldn't have to wonder how you got there,...

...Sooo, with "corpral punishment without the intent to inflict harm" senerio out in the open, she, by her foot action, and prior flapping her gums probably got her just what she deserved, and if it was my daughter, and by knowing how it was proaibly her mouth that got her to that point, I would had said no problem, you made your bed, now sleep in it,...

...I have all the respect in the world for anyone in law enforcement nowdays as they never know what their going to face on any given day, and this one ended up paying the price for the last 12 that were arrested, and gave him grief,...

...I'm sure she called him every name in the book, and twice over as she could, i guesss that's why i could never be a cop, No patience for assholes, male, or female,...

...Hard lesson, BUT will she learn from it, doubt it,...

A cop having a "bad hair day" doesn't fly with me.

If I'm cuffed and call you an SOB you don't get to beat me down. You get to call me an SOB back.

If you're escorting me to a holding cell and I'm physically complying, you don't get to bounce me off the walls on the way.

You don't get to Taser me for refusing to sign a speeding ticket.

You don't get to Taser me for "not producing my driver's license fast enough".

You don't get to bust in my front door, shoot my family pets in front of my children, and then just walk out because you didn't do your homework and you're in the wrong house.

You don't get to Taser a man to death when he's in a diabetic coma and doesn't get up off the ground when you order him to.

Let these "big men" bring some of that cheese to MY house and watch what happens.

Thank you! The little brat probably needed a good thrashing behind the woodshed by her parents. But, there is no excuse for a Police Officer getting out of control. We expect better behavior from our police officers. We also expect better behavior from our children. Or, two wrongs don't make a right.

Pac
Relax dude
The parents reported the car stolen because they didn't know that their daughter took the car. If you didn't do that when you were 15, I guess that would be a "good for you"
If you watch the video I'm sure you can see the girl flicking her shoe in the direction of the officer, and then the officer hitting the girl in the face. just what is the cause for the officer to do that? The 150 pound shoe maybe or this officers holeyer than though mental state.
I mean , come on, A 15 year old girl, against a 200lb+ officer. Not a real fight here, is there? Yes the girl may have been a mommas girl but that is no reason for the officers behavior.
A police officer has to have restraint, That’s why we give him/her a gun. And a officers Job is dealing with some crap in society, That don’t give officers the right or them authority to just be a blatant ass hole and do what ever they see fit.

I forgot one thing
I agree with 82
A cop comes to my house with this kind of attitude, gets dead. I may die also, but shit will be paid for.

I do have a question regard the officer’s arrest for driving under the influence loaded up on pain meds and alcohol. Nary a mention of that scenario. I wonder why? The man is demanding respect from a 15 year old by using his fist on her and pulling her hair. All the while disgracing his fellow officers and giving them a black eye in the community with both this action and the charges of driving under the influence. Now you judge for yourself who has done the greater harm to the community. The officer that has disgraced his department or the fifteen year old that took a joy ride in her parents vehicle without permission?

Correction: I went back to the article and find this fifteen year old child was not living with her parents but with a friend’s parents because of problems at home. The vehicle belonged to the friend’s parents. The friend was not in the vehicle when it was taken but the mother of the friend reported the vehicle as taken by her daughter meaning the young lady taken into custody. When the police pulled her over the information they had was this child was the owner’s daughter.

What disturbs me as much as the conduct of the police officer is that her birth parents have abdicated their responsibility to someone else because they do not have the intestinal fortitude to stay the course. This is the key that unlocks the door to the whole incident.

Speaking from experience here, you have a child that strays from the values you have taught them and live by every day of your life, you don’t throw them away. You stay the course. You take your stand with an attitude of no surrender. You get a prayer life that builds a wall around that child turning them over to the Almighty to hedge them in on every side until they have no place to run and no where to hide. That’s your job. And will be until you see those prayers answered.

They are worth the battle. As you fight it be sure you are taking good care of yourself. Remember the saying, “Live long enough to be a problem to your children.”

Default Thanks Sis

I know you weren't trying, but you basically rested my case. An oppositional defiant child and parents that gave up. I'm sure she didn't change her stripes when the cops got her. Wait till' she gets to the big house some day, and she will. She'll really learn a lesson in life.

That could happen Packo. But that still does not excuse the police officer's actions anymore than it exuses her parents.

But the child is not traveling alone now. She's got Angels on her six requested by this Okie & I would bet a whole lot of folks just like me that have read this story around the world.

Malika Calhoun

"They say He has a soft spot for fools and little children and I know 'cause I've been both of those."

Farther on
by Russ Taff

I hear you have a soft spot
For fools and little children
And I'm glad
'Cause I've been both of those
I shook my fist up toward the sky
And at most of those who love me
A frightened angry boy
In grown-up clothes

Chorus:
But a father's eye
Can always see right through
And a father's heart
Can tell when tears are true
Now I'm standing on this road
Your hand has brought me to
Your faithful love will lead me
Farther on

Life sure has its choices
You left those choices to me
And I'm glad
But sometimes I feel caught
It's hard to know which bridge to cross
And which bridge I should be burning
I long to learn
But I'm so slow at being taught

Chorus
But a father's eye
Can always see right through
And a father's heart
Can tell when tears are true
Now I'm standing on this road
Your hand has brought me to
Your faithful love will lead me
Farther on
