Annon On Hussein!

Kofi ANNON, appearing on the tube, has laid out guidelines that he expects (?) the United States to adhere to as concerns the captured Saddam Hussein! (Really Now?)

Apparently, the Secretary General of the United Nations, an organization that caused us no end of grief during the last Gulf War, demands that we meet U.N. standards in the trial and treatment of the ?Butcher of Baghdad!?

Among these United Nation?s demands are -

A - ?The United States must meet UN standards during the upcoming trial!?

Personally, I was unaware that any standards existed within the United Nations and several of it?s Member Nations?

B - ?Hussein?s trial must be conducted under the principles of Humanitarian law!?

Principles - Hussein has none and humanitarianism - Hussein has even less! To treat Saddam Hussein under a premise of Humanitarian Law is about as oxymoronic as treating honorable veterans under a guise of Adversarial Paternalism!

C - ?Hussein Himself, according to Kofi ANNON, must be treated humanely!?

Don?t you just love double standards?

D - ?The United States must not impose the death penalty against Hussein!?

Now how many hundreds of thousands did Saddam afford this same courtesy to?

E - ?And finally, Kofi ANNON and his cohorts, demand that the United States pack up and get the Hell out of Iraq!?

Of course, Annon means: ?After we rebuild the nation and it?s oil wells, at our expense, of course!"

And just how long do you think it would be before France, Germany, Russia and a few other of our wishy-washy allies, move in to capitalize on our blood and money?

And should we ever again have to return to Iraq (for a third time) after this latest round in the Gulf, who?s army will we face then - One comprised of the member of a European Oil Commonwealth perhaps - Those who made fortunes off of Iraqi oil in the past??

What gets me the worse, however, was Annon?s statement in moral support of Hussein?! Annon referred to Hussein as a relatively minor player of late!? Is Annon saying that the current waves of violence were all the fault of guys like Izzat Ibrahimal-Duri? Hell, ya mean that we had Saddam all wrong, all of this time?

Ya know Kofi, maybe you guys and gals at the United Nations are missing a good bet? With all of that bull shit, packed wall to wall at the U.N., you guys could make a fortune growing mushrooms, instead of just thinking like one!!

I'd bring he back to the states and let him have a cell next to Noreaga they can talk about how they screwed things up and lost their thrones.

Iraq will try him and convict him and then take him out and either take off his head or shoot him. personally I'd hang him and make sure his neck didn't break on the first throw.
