All your info was that the top. (name, rank, RA or US number) and the unit ,
then came your pay qualifications. Spc 4 grade = $pay + over seas pay, + combat pay + whatever else you qualified for. The came the deductions, $25.00 savings bond, taxes ( oh yea, combat zones were tax exempt) They put a "CZ" in the Tax section, and in some cases child support or contracts you may have written.
Then there was a Total received. This is what the pay clerk would give to the pay officer who would hand to you.

We had to show a Dog tag to get paid.

Frisco....Thanks. I was pretty sure you guys were on Jump Status but your right, things changed. You answer clarifies it. I never got Jump Pay in Vietnam. Thanks to Bill we were able to "ferret" out this "weisel" early. He never responded to the PUC question I had for him, or where the 8th was at the Ira Drang. The 8th was sent to the SF camp at Duc Co along with 1/9. They saw some shit there but not like the 7th at LZ X-Ray. Anyway...don't mean nuthin'....he's gone. Good to see you back. You will be missed in a month.
