I opt to go with Phil. He's been the longest running woodchuck prognosticator in the country. Anyway, who ever heard of a woodchuck in Staten Island? I would have figured him to have a name like Paulie or Joey. "Yo, Paulie! Wats da foacast foa da next six weeks, eh?" "Listen you SOB! I'm in here sleepin' for the winter, you wake me up, drag my fur bearin' ass out o' the hole, the cameras are blinding me, everyones hollerin' Paulie, Paulie... and by the way, my name ain't Paulie... it's Billy Bob... and you expect me to give you some outlook for the winter?" "Lemme see...for the last, um, several thousand years, there's been 50% chance of snow and sun, and a slight possibility of rain, cold, and maybe blustery once in a while. So I don't expect it to change... unless Al Gore has his way! Now put me back so I can finish sleeping!"

I didn't realize there were so many other rodent prognosticators. All they amount to is another excuse to party and get drunk.

The woodchuck (groundhog) is just the cold weather version of the prairie dog. Eventually they migrate to S. Carolina.

They're all just weather guesser's.
And why not, meteorologist's are the only folks I know who can show up for work, get it all wrong and still get paid!

Yeah, but most of the time you can't find them at work!
